Here are the projects I'm working on:

COSI Lab Build

I'm putting together the lab build (based on Ubuntu 9.04) that will be installed to all computers in the COSI lab. The plan is to create a Debian repository that holds a "metapackage" (a package that does nothing but install other packages) which will be updated with new software to be installed on lab build copmuters. The lab computers will automatically update themselves by installing the latest version of the metapackage. This way, there is no need to ghost the entire lab build out just to update a few packages.

I've learned about Ubuntu (having never worked with it before) and I know a great deal more than I did before about the intricacies of apt. I look forward to coming to a more complete understanding of the ghosting process.

Here's a rough outline:

• Create the metapackage
• Set up the Debian repository and add the metapackage
• (In progress) Create the initial lab build and configure it
• (Coming soon) Ghost out the lab build to all COSI machines
