At 2:00pm on Saturday March 1st Clarkson Guard will be hosting a Snow Football Tournament at Baghdad field. There will be a $50 gift certificate for the winning team. Teams will consist of 8-10 people. The cost to register is $10 per team, pay at event. To register your team click here. Also, there will be tables in Cheel on Monday February 25 and Friday February 29 from 11-1pm. On February 29th Clarkson is holding Fort Drum Appreciation night to honor the soldiers of Fort drum for their service. Clarkson Guard wishes to extend their welcome to the soldiers by serving free pizza in the student senate rooms. On February 24th Army and Air Force ROTC will be battling off in their annual hockey game. The game will be from 6:30 - 9:30pm in Cheel area. Between 1st and 2nd periods Clarkson Guard will be holding a shooter tutor event. Names will be collected during the 1st period, several names will be drawn, and those people will be able to come on the ice and shoot in the shooter tutor. Anyone who makes a goal will get a free sub from Subway. |

Clarkson Guard is a new CUSA sponsored organization as of the 2007/2008 school year. We are a group of students dedicated to supporting our armed forces. Because of the ongoing war we feel it is important as students to help soldiers and their families. Our mission is to raise awareness on campus about these issues and gain support of the student body. Last semester we were able to send 19 care packages to deployed Clarkson alumni. This semester we hope to sponsor a deployed Ft. Drum unit by sending them letters from students as well as care packages to show our support for their effort in the ongoing war on terrorism. |
