Accommodative Services Philosopy
Clarkson's Office of Accommodative Services, located at the Student Development Center, Price Hall, provides or coordinates services to all students with documented disabilities, in order to ensure that all University programs and activities are accessible.
Accommodative Services strives to promote personal independence among our students, and utilizes many campus services to help guarantee that each student develops the self-reliance necessary for success within Clarkson's competitive environment and beyond.
Our mission is to create a campus environment where all persons are viewed on the basis of ability, not disability. The philosophy of Clarkson's Office of Accommodative Services is one that encourages self-advocacy, self-understanding, development of maximum potential, and independence.
All post-secondary disability service providers, including the Director of Accommodative Services at Clarkson University, are held to the Association of Higher Education and Disability Code of Ethics.
