Fraternity & Sorority Housing
Aspiring to Goals of Leadership
and Service
If you choose to join a fraternity or sorority, you have the option
of living and dining with other members in a chapter house off campus. As a member,
you share the goal of maximizing your individual personal growth and development
through opportunities presented in this collective living environment.
At Clarkson, day-to-day life and activities within houses reflect and promote
this serious sense of purpose.
In addition to enjoying the camaraderie and friendship of the house, you make a commitment to assert your personal leadership for the good of the community. You also commit to a focus on academic excellence. Since 1998, the overall grade point averages of sororities and fraternities have been higher than the all-women's and all-men's averages in all but one semester.
Beyond maintaining an environment conducive to study, houses also strive to foster an altruistic culture to help further the well-being of society. Since 2001, members of fraternities and sororities have performed more than 14,000 hours of service to the community and have raised more than $62,000 for charity.
