Student Activities

Where the Action Is
What's great about Clarkson is that it's so easy to do things — things that are fun, interesting and rewarding — from outdoor recreation like hiking or cycling to making music to playing intramural sports to all kinds of clubs to making a real impact on campus life through student government. Our size makes communicating and connecting both simple and fast. People here are down-to-earth and approachable. Plus, Clarkson attracts a lot of students who like action, so it just keeps going.

Whatever your interests, you're bound to find a like-minded group. Not to mention that, if you look for something and it is not already happening, you yourself can get it going. We highly encourage initiative.

Extracurricular activities provide all kinds of opportunities to build your leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, whether you're organizing a camping trip, choosing the lead photo for the Integrator, or representing a mock trial defendant.

During the year the University also sponsors a Campus Community and Events Series that presents performances by guest artists and entertainers, as well as provocative lectures by distinguished speakers. The Campus Union Board, which includes significant student input, sponsors movies, cultural films, special dances, forums, concerts and comedians, in addition to a host of events organized and sponsored by organizations on campus.
