Finding Journal Articles - Search databases and journal collections to find journal articles by subject, author or title. If the article isn't available in full text, search Our Complete Journal List to see if we have the journal either in print or online. If Clarkson does not have the journal, submit a request for the article through Interlibrary Loan.

The library also has print indexes covering all major subject areas which can be used to locate older articles.

United States Code - Search the latest 2000 codification of the general and permanent laws of the U. S. Or browse the laws by subject classification.

United States Laws - Text of laws passed from 1995+. Recent laws passed will not be included in the latest edition of the U.S. Code.

Code of Federal Regulations - Search the codification of rules and regulations passed by Federal Regulatory and Executive agencies.

Federal Register - Daily publication of rules, proposed rules and notices of Federal agencies. Recent regulations will not be included in the current Code of Federal Regulations.

National Technical Information Center (NTIS) - Search reports issued from government funded scientific and technical research. Some reports are free online, others may be downloaded for a fee or purchased in print. The library has many government reports on microfiche, and can borrow most others at no charge, so be sure to check our catalog before you pay for a report.

Congressional Research Service Reports - Full text reports prepared for Congress on topics being considered for legislation.

U.S. Congress Congressional Hearings - Full text of selected congressional hearings, searchable by topic.

Environmental Protection Agency - News, topic overviews, overview of environmental legislation.

Document Delivery

Interlibrary Loan - Online Request Forms can be used borrow materials from other libraries through interlibrary loan. Most books and articles can be obtained at no charge.
Ingenta - 1988+ - Tables of Contents of over 16,000 journals in all disciplines. You can sign up for an automatic Table of Contents alerting service. Ingenta allows you to use a credit card and immediately view online articles in journals Clarkson does not subscribe to. Faculty can sign up through the library for their own Ingenta accounts.

WEB ACCESS PROBLEMS

You should be able to access any of our Web resources from any computer with a Clarkson IP address.  This includes computers in the library, all academic buildings, and in the dormitories.

To read most full text journals you need to install Adobe Acrobat on your computer.  Acrobat reader can be downloaded from the Adobe Acrobat site.
