the library and are listed in the catalog.

free access to full text versions of theses and dissertations digitized between 1998 and 2002.
Dissertations - an index to dissertations and theses from institutions in North America and Europe; coverage begins in 1861 with abstracts added for dissertations from 1980 and for theses from 1988.
Foreign Doctoral Dissertations (Center for Research Libraries) -
CRL has more than 750,000 uncataloged foreign doctoral dissertations,
of which approximately 20,000 are included in this database... search the
CRL catalog for titles as well. If the title does not appear in the database or the catalog, contact CRL directly to inquire if it is held.

The University of Chicago Library - an excellent Web site of links to resources for locating information on foreign doctoral dissertations; subdivided by language. This site is for searching only to identify dissertations. You cannot order through the University of Chicago Library.
You can also search university catalogs for dissertations and theses. There are universities which have posted some of their dissertations and theses online for free.
Once you have identified the dissertation or theses, you can submit an Interlibrary Loan request for it. We will try to obtain a copy for free but universities have different policies about lending or copying dissertations and theses. If we are unable to obtain a copy for free, we will notify you of the fees. Please consult the Clarkson Library if you have any questions about our Interlibrary Loan policies.
