Giving to Clarkson - Share Clarkson

Share Clarkson and Change a Life
For generations, alumni and friends have shared their enthusiasm for Clarkson and its special brand of education. Now it is possible to share something more, the University itself. Our Direct Scholarship Program has opened a new avenue for talented students who want to attend Clarkson. And it enables alumni to give back to Clarkson while creating a powerful personal legacy of learning and opportunity. Your sponsorship of a scholarship will allow a student to attend Clarkson.

It Started with a Personal Story
Bob Fanch '69, chairman of Conversent Communications and pioneer in broadband services, has a special appreciation for his alma mater. When his brother, Richard '74, wanted to enroll at Clarkson, the family found itself in financial need. Happily, the school was able to provide the necessary aid. Bob never forgot that. Recently he enabled 28 promising students to enroll at his alma mater by meeting their financial need with a personal scholarship each year for four years. Through this generous example, Bob launched what has now become the Share Clarkson Direct Scholarship Program.

How it Works
Exactly how does the Share Clarkson Direct Scholarship work?

Why Now
Clarkson's dream of having a campus on the hill is a reality. It's time to address the University's next big challenge: making Clarkson affordable for every deserving applicant. Through Share Clarkson you can help promising students benefit while Clarkson continues to enhance its reputation as one of the finest small technological institutions in America.

What Alumni Say
"I could never have attended Clarkson without a scholarship. Now I can repay a moral debt by helping another young student benefit from the University's unique blend of education in both technical and interpersonal skills." - Steve Tritman '68

The Clarkson Tradition
It has always been Clarkson's mission to provide an opportunity to promising students who might otherwise be unable to receive a quality technological education. For generations, the financial assistance of Clarkson alumni and friends has helped students earn their degree. Now this tradition has taken on new life through this new direct scholarship program.
