Getting Into Clarkson

Undergraduate International Students

Meet Mirko Palla from Jaszbereny, Hungary. Mirko is a mechanical engineering major and a member of our competitive Honors Program. He is also a tutor in Student Support Services and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Mirko spent his summer conducting bioinformatics/systems biology research in the laboratory of Professor George Church at Harvard Medical School. He was assigned a project by his post-doc mentor that required him to carry out experiments and compile and present data. He will continue to build upon his summer research experience by incorporating it into his Honors Thesis at Clarkson. Mirko’s dream is to work for a medical research institute as a biomedical engineer, “In my heart I know I will only be happy if I am working towards improving the quality of life”. What’s your story?
