After conducting a careful college search, some students feel certain that Clarkson
is the right school for them. In that case, you may want to consider applying
under our Early Decision plan.
The plan doesn't prohibit you from making other regular decision applications, but it does require you to withdraw other applications if accepted to Clarkson.
There are a number of advantages to applying Early Decision, including:
- A head start on planning your college career
- A decrease in anxiety, as you will not have to wait until spring for an acceptance letter
If you're considering Early Decision, we strongly encourage you to visit our campus and meet with our faculty, students and staff. You will also have the chance to discuss your plans with an admission counselor.
If Clarkson is your first choice, the Early Decision deadline is December 1. Admission notification will occur by January 1.
Transfer Students
Applications for transfer admission are reviewed on
a rolling basis. As soon as a transfer application becomes complete, it will be
reviewed, and the applicant will be notified of the admission decision.
The preferred application deadline for Fall admission is July 1 and for Spring admission is December 1. Applications received after the preferred deadlines will be reviewed only as space permits.
