Information for Term Paper

 

You are required to turn in a term paper on April 27, 2006. Please use the following guidelines for preparing your report.

 

A.     List of Topics:

• Advances in Image watermarking
• Applications of image processing in process control or manufacturing industry
• Image and video encryption
• Role of image processing in face recognition for biometrics

B.      

• Each student must choose a topic after getting permission from the Instructor. The above mentioned topics will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis.
• You are required to implement 1-2 recent techniques on the images and prepare a written report, including output images, tables etc..
• Your Written report should have (hardcopy as well as softcopy):

1.      total of 15 pages, 11 point font, single line spacing, single column, Times New Roman font using MS Word

2.      First page of the report should include the title, students’ names and ID, table of contents

3.      Last page should include details of references (references should be cited in the text).

4.      You need to submit only one report per group.

• You are also required to make a brief presentation using about 15-20 Power Point slides during the last week of the class. Both students must be present during Presentation and be able to answer questions from Instructor.
• Note: According to Copyright act, you are not supposed to copy whole paragraphs from the papers or published documents. In case you use a diagram or table from a document, please identify the source.
