Meet Clarkson Student, Sara Reddick '08
Major: A dual degree in Business Technology & Management/Psychology; Human Resources Concentration
Where I'm from:
Gouverneur, New York - 45 minutes from Clarkson University
Why I chose Clarkson:
Once I took the tour, I was sold. The campus was beautiful and everyone was friendly. I got the sense that the campus was family oriented and small, which were two things I was looking for in my college search. The professors are accommodating; once my calculus professor came in on a Saturday to help me prepare for the exam on Monday. Plus the financial aid package Clarkson offered was great.
I like:
Fashion, shopping, conflict resolution, reading, laid-back people, going to the movies, being outside and trying new things. I am community- oriented and enjoy a close knit group of friends.
My Life after graduation:
I have a few options. I would like to go to graduate school for consumer psychology and become a fashion marketer. Ideally I want to live near or in a big city. I also could get my MBA and become a human resource professional. Clarkson has an attractive program for that because you can do your MBA in one year unlike other schools that make you retake classes and do it in two years. I am also looking at New York University. My final option is getting a job. Clarkson has over a 90% job placement rate every year. Some jobs may even pay for grad school.
Clubs & Activities:
Resident Advisor for freshmen and sophomores
Master Peer for the freshmen First-Year Seminar
Tour Guide, Student Representative for Freshman Admissions
Marketing and External Relations Intern
President of Society form Human Resource Management
Academic Chair for my sorority, Delta Zeta
Alpha Kappa Psi Member
Photo Club
