Assistant to the President for Strategic Advancement, Clarkson University
Kelly oversees the University's Marketing, External Relations, Board Relations, Long-Range Planning, Web, Special Projects, Publications and Media Relations.

What I like about working at Clarkson:
Good apples. Since coming to Potsdam in 1993 and working in a variety of positions at the institution, I have yet to meet a student, alum or faculty member I don't like - they are the kind of smart, ingenious people you like to surround yourself with everyday. We push each other to always go beyond the status quo to get the best result possible. It is a campus true to the mission set forth by its founders in 1986 "..to be an institution out of the ordinary line of ascent and to never to quickly assume a place in the higher education order, but to always serve the needs of the American people.." The actions of our community to defy convention embody that spirit.

What's hot on my plate:
Planning for engagement of the campus community in the Middle States reaccreditation process; working across the institution for updates to the campus facilities master plan such as residence halls, recreation facilities, teaching space and laboratories; celebration events to mark Professor Egon Matijevic's 50th anniversary as a member of the Department of Chemistry & Biomolecular Science; designing an exhibit to showcase the history of air sampling equipment —; I'll never again take for granted the quality of air we all enjoy —; and ClarksonChat.com!
