Undergraduate Programs
In Clarkson's School of Business, you'll get involved, build a network, learn to communicate and problem-solve effectively and develop leadership skills. You'll master traditional core building blocks in business — accounting, management, information systems and marketing — but you'll go beyond traditional narrow specializations to gain a broad understanding of today's global marketplace.
We believe in learning business by actually doing business. It starts in your first year. In our innovative two-semester entrepreneurial course, you'll be part of a team that brainstorms, designs and runs a business — from market research and acquiring funding to marketing and motivating employees. This is the first of dozens of opportunities you will have to put theory into practice and hone your skills before you launch your career.
We offer four integrated majors with nine concentrations. Two areas of emphasis include:
1) Global Supply Chain Management: We have a nationally ranked undergraduate program in Global Supply Chain Management, one of today’s hottest fields. U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks us as a top-20 program and our graduates are in high demand.
2) Innovation: Our students go beyond writing business plans and work at developing products and creating businesses using venture capital and tapping into Clarkson’s well-established alumni network. Entrepreneur Magazine has ranked us as a top U.S. entrepreneurship program for four consecutive years.
Incorporating Technology
We have incorporated the world’s leading enterprise
resource planning software, SAP, into our second- and third-year core curriculum. In
our operations, human resources, and marketing courses, you'll be given
a common case, a data set and an opportunity to become proficient in using
the software to perform analyses and make decisions. Clarkson is unique
in offering this experience with state-of-the-art information technology
at the undergraduate level. That gives you a competitive edge.
